Finally, I can blog thanks to Mr. Hsiau. Wow...hawlodecks, muffin tops, and Ahnold's speech; just in time for some interesting blogging. =)

Rocky Mountain's getting a little tough. My prize possession laundry machine broke down, so I am now not wearing any socks. I burnt a $40k board today. Looks like I'll be able to make it back in time for some bball waaay before heading off to SD if I get fired before I leave. Hehehee, my manager helped me break it too, so you've got 2 extras.
while on the subject of food (it's almost lunchtime here and i'm starving), i feel i must update you on my frappuccino situation. it seems that frappuccinos are a scarce commodity here. the last few times i have checked, i have seen nothing. i wonder if they have just don't bother to restock or if i just keep missing them. i'm betting on the former mainly because i have been making hot chocolate these days (to fill the frappuccino void), using the free milk from the Hawlodeck. sadly, there has been NO new milk for the past two days. boy, they really know how to deprive me of my staples. at least they still have muffin tops.......
well, i actually didn't know such "muffin top" pans were sold, in which case, i believe what i have been eating is a product of the "muffin top" pan. still, they are wider than the traditional muffin and thus while there are some "muffin stump" remnants, there is still a significant amount of "muffin top" to make up for it. in either case, it's yummy and that's all that matters. =)

but lis... the question is, is it muffin tops that are baked as part of the whole muffin and then lopped off? or was it made in a special "muffin tops" muffin pan? haha.. that might seeeeeem like a technicality to you guys, but it makes a huuuuge difference! i once bought one of those muffin top pans, very excited about it of course, but while they loooked like a flat muffin, they didn't TASTE like muffin tops.. it was so disappointing! as you can tell, i am STILL sort of embittered by the whole affair :)

but hopefully you struck "real muffin top" gold :) in which case, i would have to give ibm's cafeteria some props... despite the pricey frappucinos :) hehe..
muffin tops! that's genius!! you know how the top of a muffin is the best part? well, they sell just the muffin top here in our cafeteria! i don't usually buy breakfast here but i was so excited i decided to get one. muffin tops!! =)

so i'm finally making my way back to blogging...
we have a "hawlodeck" here at our Hawthorne lab. it's all very trekkie...even has a poster of the Enterprise in there. how sad.
in any case, there they have 50 cent coffee in a teeny tiny styrofoam cup. rather than paying for that, i just make use of the free milk they also provide (for the coffee) and make myself some yummy ghirardelli hot chocolate. so i simply microwave the milk, add the cocoa mix, and wa-la. the only thing is i fear for my own safety when using that microwave. as soon as you open the door, it starts making that microwave sound and it starts to heat up. uhhh... and when the timer expires, it's STILL going. i've seen microwaves like this before. is it normal?!?! i swear i'm getting major radiation here... =(

time to head on home and weather the humidity and rain...
