Hey peeps, so my first blog... played some baseball today with church people. Ran into 2 Lowell people (Adolfo and Jay (Cathy's bf?)). My team finally one. Usually the team I'm on crushes the other team in the beginning and somehow loses in the end. This time, we got crushed early (down by > 10) and then somehow came back. And I hit one that actually went past an outfielder :o) Work's going better. Got a bug assigned to me and it took me a while to just reproduce it. Turned out, my code was a bit old... hehe... so it turned out the guy who logged it also used code that was still in flux. So it actually works. Thank God. I really didn't have too much idea on how to fix it... but with the new codeline, it was fixed. As if a big stone was lifted from my shoulders... learned a lot just looking into the problem. so its on to greater (well, maybe not greater) challenges next week.

Lis, do ppl in your area use sametime (IBM's im)? One of my OceanStore researchers is an extreme blue intern in Almaden... small world.

Question for Howard, Karl, and Allen: if you're over the cap, can you arrange a sign-and-trade where you dump salary equal to what you take back? Or do you actually need to get under the cap? Finally, if you trade with a team that is under the cap, can you give more salary than you take back? How bout this for a trade scenario: Clippers match Magette (2 guard, no?) as rumored on espn. Jazz still need a 2 (not really sure, but they went after Magette). Warriors offer J-Rich and Fortson for Arenas in sign and trade? How bout that? Stupid St. Gene would never have thought of that. Jazz need a 4 after malone leaves, right? Ok... so maybe they don't want fortson, cuz he sucks. Then, what about J-Rich and Chris Mills for Arenas? Mills comes off the cap after the year and they get J-Rich, rising 2! We get to keep our pg. No way Arenas goes to Utah...

and howard, the phone is, i'm afraid, somewhat fickle in the way it acts :( they all have their little flukes.. my parents' phone will sometimes just turn off randomly! (no, the battery isn't low... yes, it WAS just on earlier... nope, they didn't push anything!) i guess your little charging anomoly isn't tooooo bad, but i haven't noticed it in mine yet...

hey everyone again! haha i've been kinda under the weather lately, or more accurately, under my new blanket! :o) this is kinda a mixed emotion thing... on the one hand, it was sad because i was really sick this weekend :( sniff sniff.. i had this fever that made me quite delusional for reals!! but i'm better now :) but on the OTHER hand, i'm happy to have finally purchased a blanket, after giving up my initial notion of being frugal and not purchasing a "temporary" blanket when i have a perfectly amazingly good one in storage in stanford (that in my vast wisdom hehe.. i had forgotten to bring up though!). anyways, to make a long deliberation short, i decided that i was tired (in more ways than one! haha..) of being cold at night and finally made the purchase... do you guys care about the minutia of my life like that?!?!? well, puahahaha.. too bad! j/k :)

ooh and allen! thanks!! :) for giving the dvds to julie, she's prolly watching them every free moment she has now.. hahaha.. and i think they would be quite good for picking up girls, but you have to make it seem like you HAVE the meteor garden dvds but that you are still a very MANLY sort of fellow..
