so i didn't get trapped in any elevators nor did i have to climb out of subway stations. but i did have to eat a cold dinner and go to bed at 9pm. i was also reduced to reading a book and pacing around the apartment when it got too dim to read but not quite late enough to fall asleep. i had no flashlights or candles and no radio so, aside from the occassional firetruck sirens, i laid in silence, completely clueless of what was happening outside. having gone to bed so early, i woke up at 5:45am with everything up and running as usual. i was actually a little disappointed though because that surely meant i had to go to work. i almost envied those stranded in Manhattan. at least they got the day off. in any case, i am at the office now but it's hard to concentrate. i'd say about 2/3 of the people came to work today, but of those, half have gone home early. they've dimmed the lights to conserve energy and our email server hasn't gone back up yet. AND..for the first time in weeks, it's a gorgeously sunny day outside. who can work under such conditions?!?!
anyway, for those who have been sick to their stomach worrying about me, i'm A-OK. =)

hey all... so with everyone traveling all over the place, i felt left out. so i went to vancouver last weekend. okay, so the fact that babak's from vancouver might have had a little to do with it. it was absolutely beautiful -- lots of trees and mountains -- all that natural stuff.
although i don't think it's as exciting as orlando and disneyworld. i looove disneyland(world) -- the happiest place on earth. and my trip wasn't free... lucky, lucky, karl. and i still get a kick out you guys building a sand canal... heck why not... seems like there should be one if there's water around.
okay okay... you all get rides in my car. trust me, once you experience the terror of my driving, none of you will be lining up ever again. some say it's aggressive. heheh... i just like going fast.... vroooooom!!
